Breaking news: earthquake in Beijing
An earthquake measuring 7.5 was just felt in Beijing. The quake was centered in Sichuan province several hundred kilometers from Beijing. There is no news yet as to whether there was any damage or injuries.
Update: Around 900 school children are buried under a collapsed wall. China’s massive Three Gorges Dam is unaffected.
Update 10:04 P.M: Reports are now saying 3-5000 people are feared dead with another 10,000 injured. I fear the number could get even higher than this.
