Tirunesh Dibaba from Ethiopia has run the women’s 10,000 meters in 29:54.68 setting a new Olympic record and winning a gold medal.
Silver went to Elvan Abeylegesse from Turkey and the bronze went to Shalane Flanagan from the United States.
Kenenisa Bekele was named in both the 5000 and 10,000 meters at the Beijing Olympics.
Tirunesh Dibaba was also named in both events in the women’s event.
