Francoise Mbango Etone from Cameroon has won the gold medal in the women’s triple jump setting a new Olympic record - 15.39.
Tatyana Lebedeva from Russia won the silver medal and Hrysopiyi Devetzi from Greece won the bronze medal.
Russian pole vault world record holder Yelena Isinbayeva and men’s 800 meter champion Yuri Borzakovsky will lead the Russian team at the Beijing Olympics.
