Artur Taymazov from Uzbekistan has won the gold medal in the men’s 120kg freestyle wrestling at the Beijing Olympics.
Bakhriyar Akhmedov from Russia won the silver medal. Marid Mutalimov from Kazakhstan and David Musulbes from Slovakia won bronze medals.
Slovakia’s Elena Kaliska won the gold medal in women’s kayak, slalom event at the Beijing Olympic Games. Australia’s Jacqueline Lawrence took the silver and Austria’s Violetta Oblinger Peters won the bronze.
Slovakia wins gold medal in men’s C2 slalom canoe
Slovakia has won the gold medal in the men’s C2 slalom event. Czech Republic won the silver and Russia won the bronze.

Michal Martikan of Slovakia wins mens’s C1
Michal Martikan from Slovakia recaptured the gold medal today in the Men’s Slalom Canoe Single competition. He won gold in 1996, but came second in Sydney and Athens.
David Florencea from Great Britain won the silver medal and Robin Bell from Australia picked up the bronze.
Satu Makela-Nummela of Finland won the gold medal in the women’s trap at the Beijing Olympics, even though she missed four targets in the final.
Zuzana Stefecekova from Slovakia won the silver medal.
Corey Cogdell from the United States took out the bronze medal.
