Australia wins gold in men’s 10m platform
Australia’s Matthew Mitcham has stunned China by winning the gold medal in the men’s 10m platform diving. He performed a spectacular 112.10-point in the final round to win the gold. China have won five of the six diving golds at the Beijing Olympics.

China continues to dominate the diving with Ruolin Chen winning the gold medal in the women’s 10m platform.

Tom Daley and Blair Aldridge mend rift
Frustrated at finishing last in the men’s 10 meter synchronized diving, Tom Daley is said to have opened a rift with diving partner Blair Aldridge.
It started when 14-year-old Daley reprimanded Aldridge for taking a mobile phone call from his mother before their final dive.

It was a disappointing day today for United States diving team. Mary Beth Dunnichay and Haley Ishimatsu finished fifth in the women’s 10 meter synchronized diving competition.

World champions and favorites for the event, Xin Wang and Ruolin Chen have won the gold medal in another spectacular diving performance by the Chinese.
Australia’s Briony Cole and Melissa Wu won the silver medal and Mexico’s Paola Espinosa and Tatiana Oritz the bronze medal.
