Roberto Cammarelle from Italy has defeated China’s Zhilei Zhang to win the gold medal in boxing’s super heavy weight division.
David Price from Great Britain and Vyacheslav Glazkov of Ukraine won bronze medals.
Kazakhstan’s Bakhyt Sarsekbayev has defeated Carlos Banteaux Suarez from Cuba to win the gold medal in boxing welter-weight division.
Jungjoo Kim from South Korea and Silamu Hanati from China have won bronze medals.
China wins second gold medal in boxing
China’s Zhang Xiaoping has won the country’s second-ever gold medal in boxing in the light-heavyweight division, defeating Kenny Egan of Ireland 11-7.
Yerkebulan Shynaliyev from Kazakhstan and Tony Jeffries from Great Britain won bronze medals.
Alexey Tishchenko of Russia wins gold in boxing
Alexey Tishchenko of Russia has beat Daouda Sow of France 11-9, to win the gold medal in the boxing lightweight division (60kg).
Yordenis Ugas from Cuba and Hrachik Javakhyan of Armenia won bronze medals.
Mongolia wins gold in bantam-weight boxing
Mongolian Badar-Uugan Enkhbat beat Cuban Yankiel Leon Alarcon 16-5 to win the gold medal at the Beijing Olympics in the bantam-weight division.
Bruno Julie from Mauritius and Veaceslav Gojan from Moldova won bronze medals.
Zou Shiming wins China’s first boxing gold medal
China’s Zou Shiming won China’s first boxing gold today by defeating Mongolia’s Serdamba Purevdorj in the final of the light-flyweight class.
The fight ended early as Purevdorj withdrew with a should injury.
Paddy Barnes from Ireland and G Yampier Hernandez from Cuba won bronze medals.
