Germany wins first equestrian gold medal
Germany finished with 166.10 penalty points in the Equestrian Eventing Team to win the gold medal, the first to be won in Hong Kong.
Australia finished second on 171.20 points and Great Britain won the bronze medal with 185.70 penalty points.
Australian husband and wife team lead dressage
An Australian husband and wife team Lucinda and Clayton Fredericks are leading the first session of equestrian eventing’s dressage.
“I thoroughly enjoyed my ride. She’s so little, she’s actually quite easy to manoeuvre,” Lucinda told reporters of her horse.
U.S. rider Gina Miles came third.

Ireland confirms eventing team
Horse Sport Ireland has today confirmed their intent to send a three day eventing team of five riders to the Olympic Games which will be held in Hong Kong as part of the Beijing Olympics.
The team will be named after the One Day event in Barbury Castle in early July
