Triple world champion triathlete from Australia is still hoping to compete in the Beijing Olympics. While suffering from E coli poising he still competed in the World Cup in the US. He then had trouble recovering and getting back into training.

“I had some tests done when I got home and they showed I had some E coli. I just dropped everything and stopped training to get over it,” he said.

“I’m over the actual food poisoning, but I’ve found it’s knocked my body around,” Robertson said.

“There’s been a flow-on effect . . . I’ve found myself sleeping a whole lot more. It’s been really tough . . . the worst year of my career”.
