BBC to spend over 1 million pounds on the Olympics
Britain’s national broadcaster is planning to spend over ¬£1 million covering the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Around 150 people will be sent to Beijing to cover the event.
“The BBC always sends a huge number of journalists to such events and it raises the issue of efficiency,” said John Whittingdale, the chairman of the Commons culture, media and sport select committee.
