The international leg of the torch relay for the Beijing Olympics has now concluded in Vietnam. It received a warm welcome in Ho Chi Min City.

“I don’t know about the protests in other countries, but as far as Vietnam is concerned, we are happy to welcome this torch,” said Vu Thi Van, a 61-year-old woman who was carrying an Olympic flag.

The torch now makes it way to Hong Kong and mainland China, where there shouldn’t be any further disruptions to the relay.
