A typhoon which is approaching southern China may interrupt the equestrian show jumping final to be held this evening.

“We will consider issuing the strong wind signal number three as the typhoon is expected to come very close to Hong Kong tonight and tomorrow morning. We also expect to see a heavy downpour later today,” said Cheng Cho-ming, senior scientific officer at the Observatory.

In Beijing, it has rained pretty much all day today causing the BMX to be postponed to tomorrow.
