Trying to write and pronounce foreign athlete’s names is not an easy task. I thought China had a new athlete on its track team when I saw this headline: “Beijing Olympics: Home favourite Liu Ziang top of international talent to watch out for”. Here is a link to the Telegraph article. It should read “Liu Xiang.” They do get it right though in the photo caption and in the main body of the story.
