Nataliia Dobrynska of Ukraine wins gold medal in Heptathlon
Nataliia Dobrynska of Ukraine has won the gold medal in the heptathlon at the Beijing Olympics.
Lyudmila Blonska also from Ukraine has won the silver medal and the bronze medal went to Hyleas Fountain of the United States.
Update: Lyudmila Blonska from the Ukraine has lost her medal for failing a doping test. She test positive for methyltestosterone and it was her second offense. Hyleas Fountain from the United States has been awarded the silver medal.
“I think it’s great to get the silver, and I won it in a fair way,” Fountain said. “But it’s not my place to judge her. I just wanted to get on the medal stand. I didn’t know where it would be. I’m very happy with the silver.”
Russia’s Tatiana Chernova in turn finished fourth and was given the bronze medal.
