More records broken in the pool at short course world championships
Just as FINA announced that they wouldn’t be banning the new high-tech LZR Racer swimsuits, more records have fallen at the short-course world championships.
Some of the records broken include:
- Kirsty Coventry from Zimbabwe in the 400-meter individual medley.
- Ryan Lochte, Bryan Lundquist, Nathan Adrian and Doug Van Wie from the United States in the men’s 400 freestyle relay.
- Inge Dekker, Fernke Heemskerk, Marleen Veldhuis and Ranomi Kromowidjojo from the Netherlands in the women’s 800 freestyle relay.
- Mary Descenza set a championship record in the women’s 200 meter butterfly.
