Lenovo to run the IT for the Beijing Olympics

As the clock strikes 8 minutes past 8pm on the 8th day of the 8th month of 2008, more then 30,000 pieces of Lenovo computer gear will be seamlessly working being the scenes to ensure everything goes off without a hitch.

For the last twelve months, Lenovo has been testing out 20,000 servers, desktop and notebook computers and monitors to ensure the system is airtight. On June 10th, the final test of the Olympic IT infrastructure will being as the final rehearsal brings together 300 Lenovo engineers, a number that will almost double to 580 when the Beijing Olympics open.
