April is a busy month for Olympic sports fans in Beijing. The Good Luck Beijing 2008 marathon will be held this Sunday, April 20th. The course is the same that will be used for the Beijing Olympics marathon.

The race starts at Tiananmen Square at 7:30 a.m. and finishes at the newly completed National Stadium otherwise known as the Birds Nest. The course passes Beijing landmarks such as Temple of Heaven, Zhengyangmen and commercial areas of Beijing Financial Street, Zhongguancun and across Peking University and Tsinghua University. A total of 116 athletes will compete in the event.

Tiananmen Square, Temple of Heaven Park and the campuses of Peking University and Tsinghua University will unfortunately be closed to the public.
