Ouyang Kunpeng has tested positive for steroids in an out of season test taken on May 1st. He will receive a lifetime ban.

“The China Swimming Association made the decision to give Ouyang Kunpeng a life-time ban in accordance with regulations,” an official notice on the China Sports Daily website said.

“The licence of his head coach Feng Shangbao was also withdrawn for life.”

Ouyang was one of China’s swimming medal hopes for the Beijing Olympics.
