China bans skimpy clothing in nightclubs
The free Beijing Today newspaper reports that skimpy clothing in nightclubs and KTV bars has been banned.
KTV or karaoke bars are popular in China where customers can enjoy singing and drinking in private rooms with their friends. Seedier KTVs however are often fronts for prostitution. KTV rooms now must have windows so staff can see inside. Doors cannot have locks which can be locked from the inside.
