Todd Rogers and Philip Dalhausser from the United States defeated Renato Gomes and Jorge Terceiro of Georgia 21-11, 21-13 to make it through to the final of the men’s beach volleyball. The only match the Americans lost was in the first round against Latvia.

“This is probably the first beach volleyball match I’ve been nervous in before the match actually started,” said Dalhausser. “Probably because if we lost, I would have been devastated.”

The United States team will face Marcio Araujo and Fabio Luiz of Brazil in the final on Friday.
