Monk gets Hackett’s blessing for Olympics

Kenrick Monk easily beat Grant Hackett in the 200 meter freestyle event in the Victorian Championships. Monk finished fourth behind swimming champion Michael Phelps, last year in the world titles.

“If he maintains the rate of improvement he’s had over the past couple of seasons he’ll definitely be in the mix at the Olympic Games,” Hackett said.
