Ilya Ilin from Kazakhstan has won the gold medal in the men’s 94kg weightlifting. Ilin won Kazakhstan’s first gold medal at the Beijing Olympics and Kazakstan’s first gold medal in weightlifting at an Olympic games.
Szymon Kolecki from Poland won the silver medal and Khadzhimurat Akkaev from Russia won the bronze.
