Australian runner Donna MacFarlane qualifies for Olympics

Australian runner Donna MacFarlane won the 3000 metre hurdles at the Australian Titles in Brisbane last night automatically qualifying her for the Beijing Olympics.

Although she says she still has a lot of training to do to prepare for the Olympics:

“The rest of this year will still be spent trying to prepare for the Olympics and I’ll have some big international races leading up,” MacFarlane said.

“The Olympics is going to be so hard and it’ll be of course a different race to what it was in the Australian season, because there are just so many girls and it’s going to be really tough,” she said.
