Allyson Felix looking forward to a rematch
Allyson Felix still watches replays of the race she lost at the 2004 Athens Olympics, losing to Veronica Campbell-Brown.
“I got out so poorly,” the American twice world 200 meters champion told a news conference on Thursday as she recalled the 2004 Olympic final.
She has since beat Veronica Campbell-Brown at the World Championships in Osaka last year, but as she says “nothing is like the Olympics”.
“But nothing is like the Olympics,” Felix said. “I’ve waited four years for the rematch.
“(In 2004) I didn’t know what to expect, I was all about enjoying the Games. Now, to come back this time, it is all about business.”
