Haze back again over Beijing Monday morning
The haze has come back over Beijing this morning with just four days to go before the Olympics begin.
Here is the forecast for the week:
I am kind of expecting the pollution to build again this week after a week of almost clear skies last week. The forecast is for showers on Thursday which should help clear the sky again.
Scientists are planning to launch cloud-seeding rockets to induce a storm hours before the ceremony to clear the skies.
“We will see if certain conditions would affect Beijing, then see if we can apply such techniques,” said weather modification chief Zhang Qiang.
