Artur Taymazov from Uzbekistan has won the gold medal in the men’s 120kg freestyle wrestling at the Beijing Olympics.
Bakhriyar Akhmedov from Russia won the silver medal. Marid Mutalimov from Kazakhstan and David Musulbes from Slovakia won bronze medals.
Buvaysa Saytiev from Russia has won the gold medal in the men’s 74kg freestyle wrestling. He beat Soslan Tigiev of Uzbekistan 0-1, 1-0, 3-1 who wins the silver medal.
Bulgaria’s Kiril Terziev won the bronze medal after defeating Cuba’s Ivan Fundora. Murad Gaidarov from Belarus won the other bronze medal.
Li Xiaopeng has won the gold medal in the men’s parallel bars. It is his second gold medal at the Beijing Olympics.
Yoo Won-chul of the Republic of Korea won the silver medal and the bronze medal was won by Anton Fokin from Uzbekistan.
Wenna He from China has won the gold medal in women’s trampoline.
Karen Cockburn from Canada has won the silver medal and Ekaterina Khilko from Uzbekistan won the bronze medal.
Ishii Satoshi from Japan, has won the gold medal in the men’s 100kg plus judo event at the Beijing Olympics.
He beat Abdullo Tangriev from Uzbekistan with a yuko.
Oscar Brayson of Cuba and Teddy Riner of France won the bronze medals.
Choi Min-ho from South Korea won the gold medal in the men’s 60kg division, beating Ludwig Paischer from Austria with an ippon. Ludwig Paischer won the silver.
Choi beat Dutch judoka Ruben Houkes in the semifinal in just 4 seconds. Rishod Sobirov from Uzbekistan and Ruben Houkes from Netherlands won the bronze medals.
The First Asia Boxing Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Bangkok Thailand was held from January January 25th to February 2nd, 2008.
Uzbekistan had four boxers qualify for the Beijing Olympics. Thailand, Korea and China all had three boxers qualify.
