Vincent Hancock from the United States has won the gold medal in the men’s skeet at the Beijing Olympic Games with a total of 145 hits. Hancock had to battle off Tore Brovold of Norway in a shoot-off for the gold. Anthony Terras of France took the bronze medal, also after a shoot-off.

Oleksandr Petriv of Ukraine has won the gold medal in the men’s 25m rapid fire pistol with a score of 780.2 to set a new Olympic record.
Ralf Schumann (779.5) and Christian Reitz (779.3) won the silver and bronze medals for Germany.
