Director of the opening and closing ceremonies Zhang Yimou is remaining tight-lipped what is in store for the opening and closing ceremonies.

He did reveal though that the art performances at the ceremony would last around 50 minutes. Around 10,000 people are taking part in rehearsals for the opening ceremony.

Some other things he confirmed was that images of smiling children from around the world would be shown. He also said he would be making use of his favorite color red.

“It is like a film. The film will be boring if I tell you the story in advance,” said Zhang.
