Special Olympic Games begin in Shanghai
Last night saw the spectacular opening ceremony of the Special Olympic Games in Shanghai. Chinese President Hu Jintao opened the Special Olympic Games.
“A record 7,291 athletes from 164 countries and regions are set to take part in the 21-sport Games slated for October 2-11 in Shanghai, with the oldest aged 69 and the youngest at 8.”
The Special Olympic Games are being held in Asia for the first time.
