No rain for the Olympics
Beijing Olympic Organizers have announced that they will be doing what they can to control the weather. Their biggest concern is the opening ceremony on August the 8th.
“Our team is trained. Our preparations are complete,” declared Wang Jianjie, a spokeswoman from the Beijing Meteorological Bureau, addressing a news conference at the headquarters of the Beijing organizing committee.
The chance of rain at that time of year is around 50 per cent.

Sounds like they could have created the current snow storms on purpose too, just to show the world how great China is in handling disasters, and how much control they have on weather.
