No fat bums at the Beijing Olympics
Beijing Olympic organizers are currently taking applications for hostesses at the games next year. They have specified some criteria: “no tattoos, no big bottoms, and cut down on the earrings.”
I have been in China for the past couple of weeks, and the only fat people I have seen are either foreigners and a few Chinese business people. They are looking for 208 hostesses for 23 test events.
“We don’t want anyone who looks in any way sleazy because that could really put athletes off,” Li Ning, principal of Beijing Institute of Protocol, who is heading the selection process was quoted as saying.
“Bone structure and height should be uniform,” she said. “For example, we don’t want any wide bottoms.”
