More Olympic scams in China
These scams reported by Reuters are probably more aimed at Chinese but people do need to be aware. Remember, if an offer sounds too good to be true, there is a good chance there is scam behind it.
This scam sounds so much like the Nigerian 419 email scam:
One imaginative scheme, in a list of nine of the most commonly reported “stings”, involved a scam to sell Olympic medals supposedly missing after a warehouse fire. In exchange, the buyers could turn them in to the government for “a high price”.
