Michael Phelps to compete in nine events at Olympic trials
Michael Phelps has entered in nine swimming events at the U.S. Olympic trials - 100 and 200 freestyle, 200 and 400 individual medley, 100 and 200 backstroke, 100 and 200 butterfly and the 400 meter freestyle.
Where most athletes would be happy with just one gold medal, Phelps is hoping to break break Mark Spitz’s record of seven gold medals.
