Ilia Frolov wins men’s modern pentathlon world championship

Ilia Frolov from Russia won the world men’s modern pentathlon championship. Defending champion Viktor Horvath had to withdraw from the event with a leg injury.

“After the riding event, I knew I have won,” Frolov said. “I’m the best runner (among pentathletes) in the world.”
