In my last post I mentioned that some small nations have been able to hit well above their weight by winning medals, here’s a list of the famous Olympians from those smaller nations by Olympics:

Serbia and Montenegro Water Polo Team: Back in 2004 the nation of Montenergo was joined to the nation of Serbia and between them they managed to dominate the water polo contest losing to Hungary in the final in the final seconds of the match. Montenergo (now an independent nation following a referendum in 2006) will try and defend their Olympic title on their own and having defeated Serbia in 2007 if the two nations should meet in the pool again it will be a match to rival the infamous Soviet Union vs Hungary water polo match of 1956
