Chinese BMXers eyeing wild cards for Beijing Olympics
BMX racing makes it’s debut at the Olympics in Beijing but Chinese bikers wanting the chance to compete at home are going to have to wait for the wild cards after they failed to book any berths during qualifying.
According to UCI rules, the top eight female and sixteen male riders for this tournament will automatically qualify for the Beijing Olympics while the rest of the berths will go to riders who topped the UCI rankings. A total of 24 female and 32 male riders will compete at the Olympic games.
