Beijing’s new CCTV tower
CCTV’s new headquarters in Beijing is set to be a new icon for the city. Its unique design features two leaning towers connected together with a twist at the top. It has even been given the nickname “trousers” in Chinese because of its shape. The architects for the building are Rem Koolhaas and Ole Scheeren of OMA. It is set to be completed by December 2009, but the exterior is now almost complete.
The complex will include a new Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

I took this picture last year and I can’t believe how clear the sky is!
