If you are coming to Beijing by plane to watch the opening ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, don’t be late because they will will be temporarily closing the airport from 7:59pm.

The latest available flight from Shanghai to Beijing will be at 2:55 pm on August the 8th.

Also, from July 20th everyone entering any of the three terminals at Beijing Capital Airport will be required to go through additional security checks. They will be using “anti-blast safety gates” and checking all luggage for explosives.
