Yao Ming is not confident China can win a medal in basketball at the Beijing Olympics. China won two out of three matches at the recent Stankovic Cup, but will face tougher opponents at the Olympics. They beat Serbia and Russia but lost to Angola.

China’s first game is against the U.S. It also has Spain, Angola, Greece and Germany in its draw.

“My form in the games might be an illusion, caused by the differing quality of opponents,” Yao Ming told Sohu.com. “We have lots of problems, in rebound, in defence and in shooting quality, overall. These cannot be solved in one or two days.”
