Vietnam’s Olympic hopes

Vietnam has high hopes for the Beijing Olympics after winning 64 gold medals at the recently held Southeast Asian Games.

Vietnam will have around 15 athletes competing in Beijing in 6 events. They are hoping to secure places in shooting, wrestling and swimming. Their main hope for a medal is in the taekwando - Nguyen Van Hung (Men’s 84kg), Hoang Ha Giang (Women’s 55kg), and Nguyen Thi Hoai Thu (Women’s 59kg).
