Tirunesh Dibaba from Ethiopia has just broken the world 5000 meter record at the ExxonMobil Bislet Games in Oslo. The record was previously held by Meseret Defar.

“I was not expecting such a record, but it is very important for me. It was my dream to break a high quality world record. God helped me today to achieve something special.”

American Jeremy Wariner won the 400 meters.
