The Olympics and Taiwan
It is a shame that the Beijing Olympic Games can’t bring Taiwan and China closer together politically.
A recent poll was conducted in Taiwan asking people how they thought the Olympics would impact China and Taiwan relations.
According to the telephone poll of 812 adults, some Taiwanese worry that Taiwan will become more isolated because of the Beijing Olympics.
Half believe the games will boost China’s international standing and its economy, but only 18 per cent felt they would promote Taiwan- China ties and 5 per cent thought the Games would hurt ties.
China still stinks. They are still communists and don’t deserve any respect. Whe they become a truly free country and stop starting trouble with Taiwan and other countries, then they can be welcomed. They are a disgrace to humanity they way they treat their people and dogs. Long live Taiwan..at least they understand what free is.
Beijing and Taiwan should learn a lot from history. Because of our internal interest, we as brothers and sisters fight and kill each others, which make others take a great benefit.
In Opium War, we lose a lot, and we lose Hongkong and Macao. In Nanjing Massacre, thousands of our beloved brothers and sisters, our fathers and mothers, our cute children, even our babies and unborn babies are being killed brutally.
I think we should learn A LOT from their bloods. Although there are differences, we are still brothers and sisters. Fighting each others will only make us weakers, and others will greatly take the benefit.
Why don’t we start making friendship and seek for some common interest ?
