The battle to be fastest swimmer in the world
Australian, Eamon Sullivan can for now claim the title of fastest swimmer in the world, after breaking his own one-day record in the 50 meters freestyle.
Eamon Sullivan and Alain Bernard from France are set for a showdown at the Beijing Olympics in August to claim the title of fastest swimmer in the world. Between them the record has now changed four times in eight days.
“I was hoping for a 21.39 or .38 but to go that far under is just amazing, just so happy with it,” Sullivan said.
“It wasn’t rushed, it wasn’t out of control, like last night was really swinging at it and going at it and he was just holding that much length of a stroke,” said Sullivan’s coach Grant Stoelwinder.
“I thought it looked the perfect race, the whole way through, there is nothing I could pick that was wrong.”
In all seven world records have broken at the Australian Olympic qualifiers being held in Sydney.
Actually the fastest swimmer is one who has the temerity to go save lives , just the way the Bay Watch teams do.
