Tibet open again to travelers
China has opened Tibet up again for travel following the riots there three months ago. Two Swedish tourist are among the first travelers to visit Tibet.
“The tourists experienced by themselves the stable situation, harmonious society and beautiful environment in Tibet,” Tanor deputy director of the Tibet Autonomous Regional Bureau of Tourism said.

Associated Press reports that the torch relay passed through Tibet without incident amid tight security. The relay was cut short to just one day, from the original plan of three days.

Torch relay to start in Tibet on June 21
According to Xinhua the torch relay will start in Tibet on Saturday, June 21.
Tight security can be expected on one of the more controversial routes of the torch relay in China.
No exact date for torch relay in Tibet
Beijing Olympic torch organizers have not set an exact date for it to go through Tibet. The torch was originally scheduled to go through Tibet on the 18 or 19th.
The next destination for the torch is listed as Urumqi.
