Rebecca Romero was so disappointed with winning silver at the 2004 Athens Games, she decided to take up cycling instead.

She is now hoping to become the first British woman to win an Olympic medal in two different events. She only took up cycling in March 2006.

Romero says she might even try another sport after the Beijing Olympics.

“I might think about raising the bar a bit more,” she says. “It might have to be a winter sport as I might not be able to wait for another Olympic cycle.”

Romero has joined the ranks of athletes posing nude for sponsorship and promotion. A nude portrait done by Nadav Kander will be used in an advertising campaign for Powerade.
