During a test event held last year in Qingdao, the host of the sailing events for the Beijing Olympics, some events had to be rescheduled or canceled due to a lack of wind. However, organizers have stated that they aren’t worried.

“Though the city’s wind conditions are far from perfect, we are confident that the Olympic sailing events can proceed without a hitch,” Qingdao Vice Mayor Zang Aimin was quoted as saying.
