More complaints of ticket shortages
Many countries have been complaining of a lack of tickets for the Beijing Olympics. Athletes families are even struggling to get enough tickets.
Britain for example received only 30,000 tickets where they received 120,000 at the Athens Olympics. Most of the tickets are going to sponsors, VIPs, local Chinese and just a few to overseas visitors, most of which will be going to Beijing on expensive all inclusive package.
“There will be a lot of disappointed fans,” said Peter King, of British Cycling. “The few Brits in the velodrome will have to shout very loudly.”
