Matt Reed and Julie Swail Ertel earned their spots on the U.S. Olympic men’s and women’s triathlon teams.

Ertel had previously won a silver medal in water polo eight years ago. Reed is formerly from New Zealand but will compete for the United States.

Reed joins Laura Bennett and Jarrod Shoemaker on the Olympic team.
