Katerina Thanou seeks relay spot

Greek sprinter Katerina Thanou is hoping to compete at the Beijing Olympics after serving a two-year ban due to missing drug tests before the Athens Games in 2004.

The 33 year old finished third in 11.70 seconds at a track meet on Wednesday behind Uzbekistan’s Guzel Khubbieba who won in 11.38 seconds and Russian Yuliya Gushchina who came second with a time of 11.64.

Thanou was suspended, along with fellow Greek sprinter Costas Kenteris, after missing drug tests on the eve of the 2004 Athens Games.

Kim Gevaert will beat her again, Thanou robbed her in the past due to cheating the game! I hope Thanou gets busted again.
