Get ready for the Jenn Stuczynski and Yelena Isinbayeva clash in the pole vault
It will be Russia versus the United States in th women’s pole vault at the Beijing Olympics. American Jenn Stuczynski is getting closer to Yelena Isinbayevaand’s world record.
Stuczynski set an American record of 4.92 meters at the U.S. Olympic trials this year. Isinbayeva only bounced back with a record vault of 5.02 meters.
“It made me so angry because everyone started to say ‘Isinbayeva is finished, we have a new star,” she said after setting the new standard. “It made me angry and I am happy for that feeling because I didn’t feel it enough since my last world record.”
