Erakovic close to Olympic spot

Currently ranked 80th in the world, New Zealand’s Marina Erakovic is expected to move to a career high of 67 in the wake of her performance in Paris which would put her one point ahead of the ITF’s forecast Olympic cutoff point.

The ITF accepts the Top 58 ranked players in the world for the main draw for Beijing but due to the rules surrounding the maximum of four entires per country they predict the cutoff will again be 68 as it was in Athens.

Erakovic is now waiting and hoping that the mathematics work in her favour.
